Mary J Andrews Fine Art

Born and raised in Minnesota, Mary J. Andrews grew up with an appreciation for the outdoors and nature. At a young age, she began drawing and painting the landscape around her. At the age of 8, under her mother’s guidance she painted her first painting, and found a passion for art that only grew more with time.

 
One of the main things that draws her to art is the freedom in the creative process. Being able to make something out of nothing and see it come together before her eyes both satisfies and rejuvenates her. From nature to architecture, the wide range of subject matter she paints reveals her passion for creativity and desire for new challenges.

 
Mary's starting point is always places or scenes that inspire and stir her imagination. She is drawn to vivid images and interesting color contrasts. Using acrylics or watercolor, she composes her paintings with colorful realism and fine detail.

 
Mary currently lives in South Carolina with her family, where she creates her artwork and teaches children’s art workshops.
